Use:

Preparation Method:
Ethyl (3-chloro-2-oxopyrazin-1(2H)-yl)acetate can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. Ethyl acetate is reacted with pyrazine under alkaline conditions to obtain (2-azo-2H-pyrazin-1-yl)-ethyl acetate.
2. (2-azo-2H-pyrazin-1-yl)-ethyl acetate is reacted with sodium chloride and an acid catalyst to obtain (3-chloro-2-azo-2H-pyrazin-1-yl)-ethyl acetate.
3. Finally, (3-chloro-2-azo-2H-pyrazin-1-yl)-ethyl acetate was subjected to an esterification reaction to obtain the final product Ethyl (3-chloro-2-oxopyrazin-1(2H)-yl)acetate.
